The nursery is about 99% completed and I am so proud of the way it looks! Gage and I put a lot of work into the planning and execution of it and I think it turned out awesome!
A rundown of the projects that we did.. We started with painting the room blue. I went through 100s of paint swatches trying to match the color to the blue on the crib bumper. It didn’t end up being a perfect match, but it still coordinates really well.
Then Gage hung the crown molding. It was quite the project getting it hung, painted, caulked and touched up, but it looks amazing!
Gage built the cabinet in the closet. I showed him a cubby cabinet that I wanted from Target and he decided that it was too flimsy looking and he decided he wanted to make one instead. We took the changing pad cover and matched the paint color to it. So we painted the closet cabinet as well as the corner cabinet red.
I bought wooden door hangers from JoAnns and Gage cut a notch out of them so that I could hang them in the closet. Then I painted 3,6,9,12+ on them so that we could organize the baby’s clothes.
I drew a plan for the shelves above the dresser and planned what would go on them and Gage helped me hang them. I also had custom frames made at JoAnns for the Fenway Park photos because they are totally random sizes and there is NOTHING that would work.
The last project we did was hang the mobile from the ceiling. The clamp that came with it wasn’t wide enough for our crib, so we bought a oval shaped wood accent piece from Lowes, I painted it to match the ceiling, then Gage hung it on the ceiling.
The last piece of the nursery to come together is hanging the valance that my mom made for us!
I already commented on how much I love your nursery over at the bump, but we're big Sox fans over here and I have to say your nursery is my favorite so far. I love it!
