I can’t believe my little baby turned 1 year old today! How can an entire year have gone by so fast!? I have been so blessed with having the most amazing little guy come into my life. He truly is a mama’s boy and I love every single minute of it! He’s always giving me hugs and big sloppy kisses. His little smiles and laughs make my heart melt.
Although he isn’t walking yet, he cruises along the furniture all day long, walks while holding onto one or two of someone else’s hands and stands up in the middle of the room all by himself. He goes from sitting to standing in no time flat. We think that one day he’s just going to stand up and start walking and not realize what he’s doing.
Lately he’s been sleeping about 11 hours straight which is slightly less than the 12 he had been doing. So we are discussing moving his bedtime back in anticipation that his sleep requirements have changed and he no longer needs as much sleep.
He’s quite the talker and babbles, screams and shrieks all day long. Some words he’s said are: mama, dada, banana, grandma, grandpa, ball, no, uh-oh and mum-mum. He also attempts to say balloon by saying, “boon!” It’s adorable hearing him try to say words.
When you ask him “Where’s Jacob?” he points at himself. He also knows where mama and dada are if you show him a picture.
He’s wearing 12 month pants and shirts and 12 or 18 month jammies (we mixed all the 12 and 18 month ones together and just use them interchangeably). He also wears size 5 wide for shoes.
