Last week our permits came back! And then on Thursday, the 25th they broke ground. Which is sorta comical because it just looked like a light scraping off the top of the lot. It was basically the removal of the rocks on the surface.
So this morning I drove down to the lot camera in hand and there was no progress. A few hours later I decided to drive down there again. Feeling a little pessimistic, I decided to leave the camera at home. When I approached the lot, I saw progress! They had finished the forms for the foundation! So of course I kicked myself for not bringing my camera and had to hightail it back home to get it. Luckily it’s only 2 miles each direction.

It’s amazing how tiny the forms make the whole thing look though! Hopefully in the next day or two they pour the concrete!
