Half a year has gone by since the cutest little boy has come into this world! Seriously, time is just flying by. Before I know it, he’ll be headed off to kindergarten!
Today we had his 6 month doctor’s appointment. He weighed in at 18lbs (60th percentile) and 27in (80th percentile). My long and skinny baby is no longer skinny! He’s finally getting meat on his bones. But he is far from a chubby baby. He’s just solid.
Right now he’s eating solids twice a day. He’s tried: butternut squash, sweet potatoes, avocado, carrots, rice cereal, bananas, apples, pears and peaches. He seems to like the veggies better than the fruits right now. He also prefers jarred fruits over fresh ones.
He is always babbling and making noises. From fake coughing, to squealing, to his new gasping for air, this kid is always making noises! He loves bath time in the morning. Jake loves being around babies/kids, especially his cousin Makayla and his friend Savannah. He loves riding like a big boy in the stroller or in the Ergo. He is fascinated by getting his nails trimmed and hardly squirms.
He is not a fan of napping (but has definitely gotten better at it). He has started getting fussy if he’s stuck in his carseat for too long.
I just love this little guy so much! Gage and I are always making comments about how we just love him so much and how amazing he is. I couldn’t imagine my life without him in it!
He has such long legs! Happy 1/2 Birthday Jake!
