7 months

Apparently I’m a complete slacker at updating this thing because I only seem to update it every time Jake becomes a month older.

My little boy is 7 months old! How can that be!? It seriously seems like only yesterday he was a teeny tiny newborn. Now he’s a 19lb curious baby.

He’s currently on a solids strike. He absolutely refuses to eat pureed baby food regardless of what we give him. So Gage and I have decide we’re going to try just giving him table foods and see how he does with that. He seems to enjoy eating broccoli, bread, pizza crust and other whole foods. So we’ll play around with this method for a bit!

Jake has so many favorite things right now it’s crazy. He’s so fascinated with his toys and can sit on the floor playing all afternoon. It’s funny though because if you put too many toys around him, he is constantly skipping back and forth to different toys. He loves his jumper and just looking around and chewing on the toys. He loves watching Sesame Street in the mornings.

He absolutely loves bath time. His newest fascination is trying to drink the water in the tub. But that’s a story for another post!

Jake absolutely ADORES his cousin Makayla. They play so well together and he just lights up when he sees her. It’s great that he gets to spend time with her while I’m at work!

Jake has started sitting in a highchair at restaurants and even rode in the cart at the grocery store today! He learned how to play peek-a-boo and likes doing it with his burp rag on the couch with daddy. Jake has two very sharp teeth that he loves chewing on peoples fingers with.

He pretty consistently sleeps 10-11 hours straight at night. He sometimes wakes up at 4-5:30 to eat but then goes back to bed until 7 or so.

He’s such an amazing little boy and I truly feel blessed to have him in my life!
