I’m officially halfway! The weeks are just FLYING by and it will be November before I know it!
This is seriously shaping up to be an awesome week. Gage and I celebrated our one year anniversary on Sunday, Gage was able to feel the baby kick 3 times on Monday, we closed on our house on Tuesday which was the same day I hit my halfway mark, and we’ll be getting the keys and moving in on Thursday!
Overall I feel great and can’t wait until 2 weeks from now when we get to see the baby again on ultrasound and find out if we’re having a boy or a girl!
How far along: 20 weeks! exactly halfway!
Next appointment: June 29th, big ultrasound!
Any new aches/pains: I’m feeling great, occasional low abdominal pain that just feels like stretching and some low back pain, but that’s about it
Maternity clothes: I started wearing my maternity jeans, or as Gage calls them my “stretchy pants”.. I also bought some maternity shirts which definitely make me look more pregnant and less chubby!
Sleep: I’m doing ok, not really getting up more than probably just one time to go to the bathroom, but I really need to find a way to prevent myself from rolling onto my back.. not only is it not good for the baby due to decreased blood flow, but I also wake up with lots of lower back pain when I do!
Best moment this week: Gage getting to feel the baby kick.. it was so exciting for both of us!
Movement: I’m feeling LOTS of movement! It’s so exciting feeling the kicks and taps.. except when the baby decides to do a full body roll and then stay right on top of my bladder.. Gage’s solution, just hit it in the head and make it move.. umm, you try that one and tell me how it goes honey..
Food cravings: nothing really..
Belly button: it’s getting more and more shallow
What I miss: being able to go shopping and not have to stop at the bathroom in every single store
What I’m looking forward to this week: getting our keys and moving into our house!
Weekly wisdom: don’t move while being pregnant because there isn’t a whole lot that you can do which will actually cause more anxiety than excitement.. I want to be helping move stuff to get it done faster but I’m not allowed to :-(
20 more weeks to go!
