This week I feel and look much larger and definitely feel baby Jake kicking and poking a lot more. Overall he just seems more active the past few days. In fact, the little guy has even located my ribcage and enjoys kicking or jamming his foot up there at times. I much prefer the lower kicks because I can still breathe properly.
I’m still in shock at how fast this whole pregnancy has gone by. It feels like only yesterday I was getting out of bed and taking a pregnancy test on a whim. Hoping that there would finally be two lines present. And that Gage was questioning the existence of that little line I thought I saw. I pulled that test out of my nightstand the other day and just stared at it for a while. You can still see the little black mark where Gage had marked where he thought I was seeing something. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. Because it feels like it was yesterday. It’s hard to believe that I have a 25 week baby growing inside of me!
How far along: 25 weeks
Next appointment: next Thursday
Any new aches/pains: lots of low back and hip pain first thing in the morning and further towards the end of the night
Maternity clothes: loving my stretchy jeans and maternity shirts
Sleep: I’m still only getting up once in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and always find myself on my back which is frowned upon after a certain point in pregnancy
Best moment this week: putting the baby’s crib together and getting stuff hung on the walls
Movement: when is my little man NOT moving these days!? it feels like he has been constantly moving the past few days.. but I can definitely predict when he sleeps though
Food cravings: cereal still. I love my cereal!
Belly button: getting smaller by the day
What I miss: not feeling bad about sleeping on my back
What I’m looking forward to this week: not a whole lot of anything.. my 4 day stretch has approached again and I don’t look forward to working 4 in a row
Weekly wisdom: at some point, it won’t be very comfortable to bed over and put your shoes on, so enjoy being able to touch your toes comfortably!
15 more weeks to go!
