38 weeks

I’m in the serious home stretch right now! Jake could come anytime between now and 41.5 weeks (which is the earliest they would induce me). I’m definitely hoping that he comes on his own though.. So the biggest changes in the past week are that he is DEFINITELY dropping. My belly looks lower and I have ALOT of pressure down in my pelvis. I’m also having a lot more contractions (including ones that are uncomfortable and feel like cramps). However, they are still very sporadic and don’t happen often enough to get labor going.

Tomorrow I have another doctor’s appointment and I’m thinking I’m going to have my midwife check me to see if I’ve made any progress. I’m just extremely curious and feel like with him dropping and me having so much pressure, there should hopefully be SOME change. But we’ll see!

How far along: 38 weeks

Next appointment: tomorrow

Any new aches/pains: pelvic pressure and abdominal pain when I have contractions.. plus my hips and low back are aching pretty bad after a night at work

Maternity clothes: definitely not fitting very well.. my shirts are starting to create a tent at the bottom rather than nicely wrapping around the bottom of my belly

Sleep:  I pretty much wake up because I have a really sore back from somehow rolling over to my back. I can’t wait until I can comfortably sleep on my back again!

Best moment this week: little man dropping

Movement: all over.. however, he’s finally started to move slightly less.. hopefully because he’s officially running out of room!

Food cravings: nothing really..

Belly button: it’s pretty much flat at this point.. Gage and I have decided that my belly button wasn’t deep enough in the beginning to actually pop. so it’s just sorta flat..

What I miss: sleeping and walking comfortably

What I’m looking forward to this week: my 3 day weekend.. Gage and I are taking Makayla during one of the days.. and hopefully making progress towards having this baby!

Weekly wisdom: the last month lasts FOREVER

Belly 2 Belly 3

2 more weeks to go!
