Almost done! I can’t believe how close we are to meeting our little man! However, the last few weeks of being pregnant are ridiculously exhausting.. Emotionally and physically.. Plus the fact that we have NO clue when he is going to appear. I so desperately want to meet him already and don’t want to have to wait until I’m ridiculously overdue and have to be induced.
Yesterday I started having a lot more contractions that weren’t exactly comfortable. I had lots of cramping along with them. However, they seemed to taper off when I went to bed. Every time I woke up to go to the bathroom I was having a contraction, but nothing exciting. I also had a lot of pressure and felt like my little guy was beating up my cervix.
Today I had a bunch of cramping while walking, but nothing overly painful still. I’m just hoping things kick in soon because I want to meet this little guy so bad!
Oh, and I don’t know how much longer I can hear the rude comments from people. “You’re still pregnant!?” or “You look HUGE all of a sudden!” or “You’ll definitely be overdue!” or “You definitely haven’t dropped yet. He’s not coming anytime soon.” Thanks people. That makes me feel GREAT!
How far along: 39 weeks
Next appointment: Monday.. unless this little man decides to come sooner!
Any new aches/pains: lots of cramping and contractions..
Maternity clothes: getting smaller and smaller
Sleep: I’ve been getting up a lot more often due to discomfort
Best moment this week: being one week closer to meeting my little guy!
Movement: all the time.. he’s started to glide his knee or heel or SOMETHING pointy across my belly right below my ribcage.. so luckily it’s not painful.. it’s just cute that he does it over and over..
Food cravings: nothing really
Belly button: it’s officially as far out as it’ll go. which is pretty much FLAT.
What I miss: not being an emotional trainwreck!
What I’m looking forward to this week: hopefully meeting my little boy!
Weekly wisdom: the last 4 weeks of pregnancy are longer than the first 36 weeks combined!
1 more week to go!
