I am finally on the home stretch of 1st trimester! It is just amazing to me that it’s been almost 8 weeks since we found out we were expecting. And now we’ve seen and heard our baby and are almost out of the first trimester! The past few weeks have definitely flown by and have been more than tolerable. My morning sickness seems to have taken the back burner. My fatigue definitely kicks my butt from time to time, but it definitely hasn’t been anything more than I can handle.
How far along: 11 weeks
Next appointment: May 3rd.. just a usual 4 week check-up
Any new aches/pains: I was doing great until last night when I had a really bad case of nausea that just wouldn’t go away.. I’m still battling a little bit of it as I sit here typing this, but I feel fortunate to have had such a mild case of it this whole time.
Maternity clothes: I think that those will be showing up sooner rather than later. My jeans have become increasingly uncomfortable. Although they still button for the most part, it’s just too uncomfortable having them buttoned while sitting. So the plan as of right now is to just buy a pair a size bigger than my normal size and wear those for a while.
Sleep: I’ve been doing pretty good with sleep. I typically only get up once in the middle of the night and then once again when Gage wakes up or when he goes to work.
Best moment this week: They are making tons of progress on our house which is just so exciting to drive by and see!
Movement: Still too early..
Food cravings: poptarts and lemonade are my two favorite things right now
Belly button: still there
What I miss: Not worrying about whether or not my pants will fit when I pull them out of my dresser to put them on.
What I’m looking forward to this week: Packing my bags for our trip to Hawaii on Monday!
Weekly wisdom: 40 weeks may sound like a long time to be pregnant, but it sure does fly by in the beginning!
I really have no clue where this belly has come from all of a sudden! But this is the right timeframe for when all my insides are being pushed up high enough to finally start getting bigger. I just didn’t expect such a sudden change!
29 more weeks to go!
