This week has been good. I think it’s finally sinking in that I’m pregnant. But it still seems a little bit surreal. I’m trying to soak in all of the good days I’ve been having in preparation for any discomfort and not so good days that I will be experiencing later on!
How far along: 5 weeks
Next appointment: tomorrow with the intake nurse
Any new aches/pains: very sore chest region (if you know what I mean), and still some random pains and cramps in my abdomen. Oh, and those dang hunger pains that never seem to go away!
Maternity clothes: my clothes still fit just fine despite the massive bloat that’s going on right now!
Sleep: waking up a little bit more often in the middle of the night either to go to the bathroom or because of hip pain
Best moment this week: getting off the float list at work! it will definitely remove a lot of unwanted stress!
Movement: way too early
Food cravings: pretty much everything at this point! I never feel full anymore! I haven’t been craving anything in particular though. And definitely taking advantage of the fact that I don’t feel nauseated at all *knocks on wood*
Belly button: still there
What I miss: still the same. caffeinated beverages. however, caffeine free diet pepsi isn’t so bad!
What I’m looking forward to this week: my appointment with the intake nurse and getting to figure out when ultrasounds will be and various other things throughout the pregnancy.
Weekly wisdom: enjoy all the good days in the beginning and take advantage of the energy you have now because it’s bound to disappear ;-)
So now the pictures. I definitely look a lot more bloated this week. It seems to come and go throughout the day but you can definitely see a difference between this week and last week!

Note to self: no more taking the pictures right after I get up after a long night at work.
