I am officially 6 weeks along today. This week had it’s ups and downs. I had my first appointment with the intake nurse at the clinic. We went over health history, do’s and dont’s and then I picked my midwife. After that the nurse said, “So what reason can we come up with to get you an early ultrasound?” She picked something related to nausea and I scheduled my ultrasound for April 6th. Which will officially be 10 weeks!
So then I headed over to the hospital where they proceeded to draw 7 tubes of blood!
How far along: 6 weeks
Next appointment: April 6th, ultrasound and then meet with the midwife
Any new aches/pains: I’ve still been having cramps and this week also marked the start of nausea. I’ll be moving along just fine and then out of nowhere I feel queasy. But then as fast as it comes, it goes away.
Maternity clothes: not yet. I’m looking bloated, but luckily it’s all been above my pants so far. I did order some Bella Bands this week in preparation though!
Sleep: doing ok. waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. which isn’t fun because I always have cramps when I get up. boo.
Best moment this week: my appointment with the nurse! I’m so excited about knowing when we’ll get too see the baby!
Movement: way too early
Food cravings: right now I don’t even feel like eating most of the time. for instance, I was craving macaroni and cheese earlier. I made it, took 5 bites, and then felt sick to my stomach and couldn’t eat any more.
Belly button: still there
What I miss: not having weird cramps/abdominal pains throughout the day
What I’m looking forward to this week: booking our trip to Hawaii for my dad’s retirement in April! woohoo!
Weekly wisdom: just because you’re pregnant, doesn’t mean that the cramps that you experienced at “that time of the month” will go away. boo.
So without further ado, the pictures. This week I feel like my stomach is bigger. It feels more solid than bloated. But I don’t think the pictures really show it.
34 more weeks to go!
